Here is a little bit about me...

I have a passion for childbirth.  I attended my first birth in 1992 while working for a physician who focused on women's health.  I worked closely with many women clinically throughout their pregnancies and in turn throughout their labor and births.  I have attended over 30 births to date.  I am Certified by DONA. (Doulas of North America)

I am currently the Childbirth Education Coordinator for The Pregnancy Support Connection as well as an instructor.  I also teach private childbirth education classes.

I am also the Co-Chair of the CARE Network, a resource of childbirth professionals serving the Milwaukee metro area.

I live in a Milwaukee suburb with my husband, my three daughters and our two huskies.

 My Philosophy:

I believe the whole process of pregnancy, labor, birth and mothering are among the most incredible experiences a woman can have.  These are something women alone can share.  During this time, surrounding yourself with the support, love, energy and wisdom of other women can enrich the entire experience.  Having a Doula during this incredible journey can help emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Childbirth is a natural process but sometimes needs a little help.   I am comfortable supporting any and all of your birth choices.  Although my clinical skills are not part of my services as a Doula, the many years of experience gained provide extensive knowledge that can be shared with my clients and families.

I feel continuing education is very important and  I strive to stay current with new procedures, therapies, and practices.

In my "free time" you can find me coaching basketball, playing volleyball, or throwing in Highland Games.
